FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
Legal Services of Eastern Michigan will be at the Imlay City Senior Center every month on the second Thursday of the month. Assistance is available in the area of elder law, wills, power of attorney, patient advocate, estate planning, housing complaints, public benefits, domestic violence, elder abuse, social security assistance, consumer/bankruptcy, and employment issues. They do not assist with trusts or criminal cases. This is a free service to Lapeer County Seniors. Call Tracy to schedule an appointment 810-724-6030.

Imlay City First Congregational Church’s food pantry is open on the first four Thursdays of each month from 2-4 p.m. The church is located at 275 Bancroft Street in Imlay City. The pantry is open to people located in the Imlay City School District. MUSEUMS
The Imlay City Historical Museum is open each Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m., April through December. The museum is housed in the historic Grand Trunk Depot where three rooms of local history are available for guests to discover a wealth of information and ever-changing exhibits focusing on Imlay City’s place in Michigan’s history. The theme for 2023 is Our Agricultural Heritage. In addition, there is a caboose, dining car, and memorial building that contain a variety of displays including a one-room school exhibit, farm tools, vintage washing machines, doctor and dentist office, and much more. The museum houses a large archive of genealogical information. Stop by and visit. Friendly docents will greet you and assist you on your discovery.
The Attica Township Museum is located at 4350 Peppermill Rd., behind the township offices. The museum is open Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Donations are welcome.

Do you know an adult who wants to get their GED or improve their reading or math skills? The Family Literacy Center offers FREE tutoring and support. Participants can earn their GED at NO COST.
