Almont’s Natallia Radisavljevic intercepts a pass in Thursday’s Div. 3 district title match.

ALMONT — Almont claimed a 4-1 win against host Richmond in a Division 3 girls’ district soccer confrontation last Thursday.

It marked the fourth straight season Almont has earned a top district finish.

With the outcome, Almont (the Blue Water Area Conference champions) improves to 16-3-1 overall.

In Thursday’s confrontation, Almont opened up a 2-0 edge at the halftime break.

Almont then followed it up with a 2-1 advantage the rest of the way, putting the finishing touches on a 4-1 win. Lola Battaglia paced Almont with a three-goal performance. Avery Peake supplied the other Raider goal.

Callie McCarthy (two) along with Anna LaBroski and Battaglia (one each) furnished Almont’s assists.

LaBroski got the win in net for Almont. She finished the contest with seven saves.
