TRI-CITY AREA — The Almont girls’ soccer team clinched the Blue Water Area Conference championship outright with an 8-0 triumph against visiting Imlay City on Tuesday, May 21.

With the outcome, Almont moves to 14-3-1 overall and completes league play with a pacesetting 13-0-1 mark.

Lola Battaglia collected six goals and Callie McCarthy supplied two to lead Almont.

Nora Yarbrough (three), Laila Evola and McCarthy (two apiece) along with Battaglia (one) provided Almont’s assists.

Anna LeBroski got the win in net for Almont. She managed five saves.

Kendal Donahue drew the goalkeeping assignment for Imlay City. She contributed nine saves.
