TRI-CITY AREA — Cam Bourdeau shot a medalist round of 72 and Manny Goldstein was second medalist with a 74, helping the Almont boys’ golf team earn a first-place showing Monday at the Blue Water Area Conference Tournament.

Holly Meadows Golf Course, in Capac, is where the action unfolded.

It marked the ninth time since the 2013-14 season (the Raiders were second in 2017-18 season and were unable to compete in the 2019-20 season due to covid) Almont has won the BWAC title.

Almont won Monday’s BWAC Tournament title with a 307 total. They were followed by Cros-Lex (319), North Branch (332), Armada (333), Richmond (335), Yale (371) and Imlay City (421).

Nolan Roszczewski and Jacob Fuller rounded out Almont’s top-four scorers with 81s.

Matthew Webb paced Imlay City with a 103. The Spartans also counted Nicholas Chind’s 105, Cory Hall’s 109 and Gonzolo Zepeda’s 117.
