Myrna Klikna, age 89, of Imlay City, Michigan died Thursday, May 2, 2024, at her home surrounded by her children. Myrna Muriel Anderson was born November 23, 1934. in Imlay City, MI. She is the daughter of the late Merle and the late Violet (Smith) Anderson. Myrna grew up in Imlay City and has lived all her life here. She was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1952. She married John Anthony Klikna on June 28, 1952 in Imlay City, Michigan. Her husband, John died in October 1981.

Myrna started work as a seamstress at Hamill Seat Belt Co. in Imlay City which transitioned to Firestone; she retired years later as a Fork Lift Operator from TRW in Romeo.

Myrna really enjoyed her ice cream!! She was an avid dancer with the Thumb Dancers in Sandusky; participated with the Red Hat Society in Imlay City; enjoyed going to the casinos, golfing and bowling. She was a wonderful baker of pies and cookies; enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, gardening, crosswords and sudoku, playing cards (euchre and cribbage). Myrna has walked the Mackinac Bridge a couple of times and she liked to travel all over the United States, Hawaii, and England.

Myrna is survived by: her daughter, Lynda Klikna of Imlay City, MI; son, Donald (Kerry) Klikna of Dublin, California; a brother, Paul (Vicki) Anderson of Imlay City, MI; thirteen grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, John Klikna; her son, Rodney Klikna; and by her siblings, Thelma, LaVern, Lois, Janice, Jim, and Rosalie.

The Celebration of Life was held from Sunday, May 5, 2024, at The Third & Main Event Center, 244 E. Third Street, Imlay City, MI.
