Danny Lee Culver, a resident of Brown City, passed away May 1, 2024. He was born December 31, 1948, in Sault St. Marie, the son of George and Dona (D’Arcy) Culver.

He graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 1967. Danny entered the United States Marine Corp on June 12, 1968, and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged, and during the time he served his country, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Rifle Sharpshooters Badge, Vietnam Service Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.

Danny married his beloved wife Joyce Callewaert on September 10, 1971, in Utica. He attended Macomb Community College. He worked at Ford Motor Company, Sterling Axle Plant first and later at the Transmission plant.

Danny was an avid outdoorsman enjoying white tail, turkey and pheasant hunting. He also fished in many of the inland lakes. He loved classic cars and was proud of his 55 Chevy. He was a dedicated member of the Imlay City American Legion Post # 135, and he volunteered at Great Lakes National Cemetery once a month as an honor guard with his post. Most of all Danny loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his beloved wife Joyce of Brown City, loving children Brandi (Chad) Drennan of Burton, Jeremy (Joseph Commire) of Grand Blanc; beloved grandchildren Alexa and Braxton and one great grandson will be born in July. Also surviving are his siblings Carol Witulski, George (Leta) Culver, and Sandra Culver.

The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, May 7 at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center in Imlay City, MI 48444
