Capac shortstop Skielar Tesnow looks to throw out an opposing baserunner in a game this past week.

CAPAC — The Capac varsity softball team posted a 3-0 mark, earning themselves a first-place finish last Saturday at the Clawson tournament.

Capac began their title-producing path with a 14-2 win against Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest.

Skielar Tesnow led Capac’s offensive attack with one single, two triples and seven RBI. She was backed by Robin Owens (two singles), Madalyn Roberson, Annabelle Schneider, Chloe Schocke, Nevaeh Mason, Christina Howard and Marybeth Klein (a single each).

Madalyn Roberson was the winning Capac pitcher. She allowed three hits and struck out two.

Capac followed that up with a convincing 20-1 victory over Waterford Mott.

Karina Ramirez (two singles) plus Ava Thorner, Gabby Tice, Lily Uribe, Tesnow, Schneider and Schocke (one single apiece) furnished Capac’s hits.

Madalyn Roberson was Capac’s pitcher of record. She gave up three hits and registered seven strikeouts.

Capac then closed out a successful day with an 11-0 triumph against Clawson.

A group consisting of Madalyn Roberson (two singles and one home run), Schneider (two singles and a triple), Emalie Roberson, Tesnow, Schocke and Owens (two singles each), Howard and Mason (a single apiece) supplied Capac’s basehits.

Madalyn Roberson was the winning Capac pitcher. She allowed one hit, struck out seven and walked one.
