ALMONT — Almont earned a 5-0 win against visiting Imlay City in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity baseball confrontation Monday.

Blake Lane collected three hits to lead Almont. Ayden Ferqueron (a single and a double) and Lucas Mantini (two singles) notched multiple-hit performances as well.

Almont had three other players reach the hitting column. Their ranks consisted of Tyler Brown, Zack Koval and Jason Lane (a single apiece).

Mantini was the winning Almont pitcher. He allowed four hits, struck out six and walked one along the way.

Brady Detwiler and Matthew Morocco (two singles each) provided Imlay City’s hits.
