CAPAC — Capac fell twice to Peck in a non-league varsity baseball doubleheader last Saturday.

Midland’s Dow Diamond, home of Minor League Baseball’s Great Lakes Loons, is where the action unfolded.

“This was an awesome experience for the kids,” Capac Coach Nick Geliske commented. “Jen Kluger and Peck were great in setting this up and having us be a part of this,” he noted.

“The players, coaches and everyone involved will remember playing on a professional field for lifetime.”

In the opener, Peck obtained an 11-10 win against Capac.

There Peck and Capac managed eight runs each through four innings.

Peck then outscored Capac 3-2 the rest of the way, pulling out an 11-10 victory.

Brody Tesnow and Wiley Roose led Capac with three singles each. The Chiefs also had Cale Clement (a single and a double), Austin Howard, Trenton Tice and Alan Uribe-Arce (two singles apiece) plus Brian Canelo-Rodriguez and Carlos Uribe-Arce (a single each) reach the hitting column.

In the second game, Peck registered a 3-0 triumph against Capac.

There Peck used a one-run first inning, a one-run third; and a one-run sixth to prevail.

Capac was held hitless.
