Almont’s Madison Niedermaier clears the pole vault bar en route to a first at the Cass City Invite.

TRI-CITY AREA — The Almont and Imlay City girls’ track squads pulled up fifth and eighth, respectively, last Friday at the Cass City Invitational.

North Branch (122) paced the field assembled. They were followed by Unionville Sebewaing (95 points), Cass City (84), Reese (73.5), Almont (65), Laker (46), Harbor Beach (45), Imlay City (44), Bad Axe (32), Byron (26.5), Ubly (16) and Burton Bentley (six).

Madison Niedermaier, pole vault, 8 feet 3 inches; led Almont with a first.

Lauren Webster, high jump, 4 feet 8 inches; and Niedermaier, long jump, 14 feet 4 inches; gave Almont individual event seconds.

The 400 relay of Montserrat Coronel. Christy Trisler, Lola Battaglia and Lauren Webster plus the 800 relay of Samantha Miodowski, Madison Miodowski, Isabel Betker and Grace VanDyke claimed seconds well. They were timed in 56.9 seconds and 1:06.59, respectively.

Lilylynn Martin, pole vault, 7 feet 6 inches; provided Almont with a third.

The Almont 800-meter relay of Montserrat Coronel, Lillian Longo, Battaglia and Webster took third as well. They were timed in 2:03.73.

Laila Evola, 3200 run, 14:31.54; collected a fourth for Almont.

Amanda Fitchett, 3200-meter run, 15:20.1. supplied Almont with a fifth.

Montserrat Coronel, long jump, 13 feet 11 inches; contributed an individual event sixth for Almont.

The Almont 3200 relay of Ayla DeLaurier, Jenna Kline, Fitchett and Evola pulled up sixth as well. They registered a 12:37.86 clocking en route.

Jillian Rienas, high jump, 4 feet 4 inches; managed a seventh for Almont.

The Almont 1600-meter relay of Jacqueline Coronel, Haley Dempz, Jenelle Davidge and Martin claimed a seventh as well. They were timed in 5:30.67.

Charlotte Verougstrate, 3200 run, 16:06.96; added an eighth to Almont’s cause.

Charlotte O’Brien, 3200-meter run, 14:02.01; paced Imlay City with a first.

Kendal Donahue, pole vault, 7 feet 6 inches; gave Imlay City a second.

The Imlay City 3200-meter relay of Hannah Hayes, Alice Johnson, Daniela DeLuca and O’Brien claimed a second as well. They were timed in 11:48.85.

The throwers relay of Madison Singleton, Morgan Robertson, Rayana Slack and Addyson Mitchell were third with a 1:07.72 clocking.

Mitchell, discus, 79 feet 1 inch; and O’Brien, 1600 run, 6:30.33; contributed sixths to Imlay City’s cause.

The Imlay City 800-meter relay of Rylee Tyack, Gabby Douglas, Penelope McNutt and Hayes took sixth as well. They were timed in 2:05.6.

Aryana Atkinson, 100 dash, 14.63 seconds; rounded out the list of Imlay City placewinners with an eighth.
