GOODLAND TWP. — On Monday, April 8 there will be a total solar eclipse visible in our area. The Goodland Township Library invites everyone in our area to come and watch the eclipse with us. The library will open at 1 p.m.

We are expecting the eclipse to begin shortly before 2 p.m. The total eclipse (about 93% in this area) is due around 3:14 p.m.

This is a rare occurrence and another solar eclipse is not expected in this area for many years. We especially encourage home school families to join us for this experience. We will provide eclipse glasses for those who watch with us. We will have snacks and handouts and hope to make the eclipse a real community event.

The library is located at 2370 N. Van Dyke (just north of Armstrong Rd.), Imlay City. For more information, call the library at 810-721-2110.
