Former Imlay City standout Jaya Forti looks to make a catch for Rochester Christian.

IMLAY CITY — The Rochester Christian softball team, which includes Imlay City’s Jaya Forti, lost a pair of road games to Cleary University on Monday, March 25.

In the opener, Cleary claimed a 4-2 win against Rochester Christian.

There Cleary took advantage of a two-run third inning and a two-run sixth to emerge victorious.

Rochester Christian scored both of their runs during inning number three.

Forti, a sophomore centerfielder, went two for two for Rochester Christian. Her performance included a single and triple.

She also contributed one run scored and drew one walk.

In the second game, Cleary came out on top of an 8-5 verdict over Rochester Christian.

There Cleary used a four-run fourth inning; a three-run fifth; and a one-run sixth to prevail. Rochester Christian collected both of their runs during inning number seven.

Forti excelled at the plate again, winding up two for four. Both of her basehits were of the single variety.

She also contributed two runs to Rochester Christian’s cause.

Forti lined up defensively for Rochester Christian as a centerfielder.
