President Debra Hlubic called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Council members in attendance were Joe Herrington, Mary Klug, Lynne Mandeville, Joe Nemecek, Samantha Ramirez, and Tony Vigiletti.
Also in attendance were Village Manager Travis Youatt and Clerk LeAnn Brewer.
The following motions were approved: approval of the agenda for the regular meeting on March 18, 2024; approval of the minutes from the regular meeting held on February 20, 2024; approval of bills totaling $102,664.75; approval of payments to Teltow Contracting for $80,035.00 and Spicer Engineering for $8,079.50 for the Hill Street Sanitary Sewer Project; acceptance of Patsy Beischer’s resignation letter from the Planning Commission Board; the reappointment of Monica Standel to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a three-year term; adoption of the TEDF Grant Resolution; nomination of Village President Debra Hlubic as the delegate to the SEMCOG’s General Assembly, and the designation of Village Manager Travis Youatt as the alternate delegate; approval of the Village of Capac’s FOIA Policy for public records under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act; approval of the Special Event Permit for the Capac Youth Baseball League and the Lions Club to organize the Easter Bunny is Coming to Town event on March 24, 2024, at Melody Park; approval to request quotes from planners to assist the Planning Commission with the Village of Capac’s Master Plan.
