Fonda Ervin Thomas, age 80 of Lake, MI and formerly of West Virginia, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Midland surrounded by her family. She was born April 1, 1943, the daughter of Morris and Anna Elizabeth (Vannetter) Ervin in Thayer, West Virginia. After high school, Fonda worked at a shoe factory, several retail stores and was a homemaker. She met Paul Thomas in 1982 and they were married February 3, 1984, in Almont.

Fonda liked crocheting scarves and she enjoyed crocheting afghans. She loved owls, hummingbirds and cardinals. Fonda was a member of Mount Pleasant Chapter #55, O.E.S. Together Fonda & Paul enjoyed country music dancing.

Fonda is survived by her loving husband Paul Thomas of Lake; by her children, Patrick Carter (Linda) Thompson of Mesa, Arizona, Clifford Phillip (Dayna) Thompson of Gallatin, Tennessee, Debra Edwards of Lapeer, Dianne Zeitler of North Branch and Anthony (Melissa) Thomas of Elk Lake, Ontario; and by grandchildren, Renee, Amy, Patrick, Christy, Amber, Brandon, AJ, Kayla, Richard, Bryce, BJ, Lisa, Ali, Logan, Alexis, Cody, Layla, Addison, Chandler, Avery, Cody, Alayna, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Logan, Jenna, Jaxon, Abby, Adam, Heather, Hunter, Jaxon, Raelynn; and by her brother Morris Edward Ervin of Columbiaville.

Fonda is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Roger Thomas.

The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 S. Van Dyke, Imlay City, MI 48444.

A luncheon followed the service on Tuesday at the Imlay City Eagles, 170 S. Almont Avenue Imlay City, MI 48444.

A private burial will be made at Lakeville Cemetery, 825 Drahner Rd., Leonard, MI 48367.
