ALMONT — The Almont District Library’s March lineup of events:

Calling all crafters! The Almont District is hosting an outdoor craft show on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11 during Almont’s Garage Sale Frenzy! A booth fee of $20 includes a 10’x10′ space for both days. For more information or to sign up, please call us or stop in for an application! Hurry, spots are limited! (Please note: crafters and artists only, no wholesale or resale items)

Come see the new animated movie Migration on our projection screen at the Almont District Library! Join us at our Movie Matinee on Saturday, Mar. 16 at noon! We invite you to bring along a pillow, blanket and stuffed animal to enjoy the movie with. Free popcorn and juice will be provided!

Love being creative, building new things, and letting your imagination go wild? Then our NEW monthly Lego Club is the place for you! For ages five & up, join fellow Lego fans to take on a monthly building challenge and have your design displayed at the library! The Lego Club will meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 4-5 p.m. Our next meeting is March 19. No sign up is required to join.

The new Cooking Through the Decades Cookbook Club will meet again Monday, March 25 at 4 p.m.! Meet up with fellow cooks to explore cookbooks from different decades, select recipes to make, and then come together potluck style to try them out. Discuss what you liked and didn’t like about the cookbook and its recipes and then try out a new one! This month they’ll be cooking up soup recipes so stop in to browse the cookbooks if you’d like to join!

Tykes, Tales, & Tunes Story Time with Ms. Des meets every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.! Parents/guardians and their preschoolers can enjoy stories, songs, and activities tailored to their child’s development. Registration is not required. Recommended ages 0-5. Ms. Des loves meeting new friends so drop in if you can!

The Knitting Club meets Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. Whether you knit, sew, crochet, cross-stitch, or anything in-between, you’re welcome to join regardless of skill level. Some supplies will be available for use.

The Dead on the First Page Murder Mystery Book Club is meeting Monday, March 18 at 7 p.m. Their latest case is Olivia Matthew’s “Murder by Page One.” New sleuths are welcome to join!

Our Artist of the Month for March is Charlene Sutherland. She will be selling a variety of handmade decor, ornaments, artwork, memory books and more. Her items will be displayed at the library through the end of the month so come on out and support a local artist.
