ALMONT — Almont obtained a 25-15 win against visiting Oakland Christian in a non-league varsity girls’ basketball matchup last Thursday night.

With the decision, Almont concludes a 7-15 regular season run.

In Thursday’s matchup, Almont took an 8-7 edge after one quarter was complete.

Quarter two saw Almont collect five points and Oakland Christian net none, increasing their cushion to 13-7 at the halftime break.

When the action resumed, Almont struck with a 6-3 third quarter edge. That left them holding a 19-10 lead with 24 minutes gone.

Almont then followed it up with a 6-5 fourth quarter advantage, closing out a 25-15 win.

Jesse Kautz led Almont with eight points, including a trifecta. Lauren Webster and Ava Panduren (five points each), Rachael Johnson (four, featuring a trey), Genesis Fisher (two) and Lydia LaCavera (one) supported her performance.
