IMLAY CITY — Imlay City registered a 62-49 triumph against visiting North Branch in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball contest on Tuesday, February 13.

With the outcome, Imlay City improves to 14-5 and 8-3. North Branch falls to 10-8 and 5-6.

In Tuesday’s contest, Imlay City took a 13-7 advantage after one quarter had ended.

The middle two quarters saw Imlay City accumulate 34 total points and North  Branch hit for 19, leaving them up 47-26 with 24 minutes gone.

Imlay City then withstood a 23-15 fourth quarter rally, pulling out a 62-49 victory.

Zander Nash led Imlay City with 16 points. He was backed by Isaac Sommer (13 points), Landon Jones (12), Jack Siegler (nine), Matt Evans and Andrew Cezik (five each) along with Brady Detwiler (two).
