IMLAY CITY — Imlay City handed host Cros-Lex a 45-35 setback in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball clash last Thursday night.

With the result, Imlay City improves to 11-4 and 5-2. Cros-Lex slips to 9-6 and 5-3.

In Thursday’s clash, Cros-Lex grabbed a 10-9 edge after one quarter was over with.

The middle two quarters saw Imlay City amass 22 total points and Cros-Lex manage 18, leaving the former up 31-22 with 24 minutes gone.

Imlay City then outscored Cros-Lex 14-13 from that point on, closing out a 45-35 win.

Landon Jones collected 19 points and Matt Evans netted 10 to lead Imlay City. The Spartans also had Jack Siegler and Isaac Sommer (four each) along with Quintin Ramirez and Sam Edson (two apiece) reach the scoring column.
