Beulah McAlister, age 100, of Imlay City, MI, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital. Beulah Mae Evans was born December 23, 1923, in South Fulton, TN. She is the daughter of the late George and the late Pauline (Underwood) Evans. Beulah grew up and graduated high school in Fulton, KY. She married Richard Hardy McAlister, Jr. on January 30, 1942, in Detroit, MI. They lived in the Detroit area until they retired and moved to Angola, IN. Beulah and Richard moved to the Imlay City, MI 23 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, on June 15, 2006.

Beulah was an original “Rosie the Riveter” during WW II.

She was employed by AT & T as head of the training division for 30 years and promoted to supervisor before retiring in 1977.

Beulah frequented the Imlay City Senior Center. She was very smart and always upbeat and positive.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Lynne (Phillip) Pugh; son-in-law Ralph H. Goode; her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Joann) Goode, Gary (Jennifer) Goode, and Emily Louise (James) Copley; and her great-grandchildren, Tyler Goode, Evan Goode, Shelby Goode, Nina Copley, and Joseph Copley.

Beulah was preceded in death by: her husband, Richard McAlister, Jr.; parents, George and Pauline Evans; her daughter, Paula Lee Goode; and her grandson, Richard David Pugh.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Michelle Lamb officiated. Interment will take place at a later date at Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Water Valley, KY.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
