ALMONT — Almont obtained a 56-35 victory over visiting Armada in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball game last Friday night.

With the result, Almont moves to 10-3 and 5-1. Armada slips to 2-9 and 1-6.

In Friday’s game, Almont spotted Armada an 11-10 edge after one quarter was over with.

The middle two quarters saw Almont manage 32 total points and Armada generate 12, leaving them up 42-33 with 24 minutes gone.

Almont then outscored Armada 14-12 the rest of the way, finishing off a 56-42 win.

Jerry Schurig (15 points, including a pair of trifectas) led Almont’s scoring attack. He was backed by Cam Bourdeau and Chase Davedowski (eight points, featuring two treys, each), Isaiah Bankston (seven), Cole Walton (five, with a triple), Marko Radisavljevic (four) Jason Lane, Manny Goldstein and Devin Sullivan (a trifecta apiece).
