Chester Thomas Crimm, age 78, of Imlay Township, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after an extended illness on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Marlette United Hospice Residence of Marlette, MI. Tom Crimm was born February 11, 1945, in Newark, NJ. He is the son of the late Chester and the late Estelle (Frittro) Crimm. Chester grew up in Dryden, MI. He was a graduate of Dryden High School, Class of 1963. Tom served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968.

Tom married JoAnn (Fike) Kaake on April 23, 1977, in Imlay City, MI. He retired from General Motors / AC Spark Plug in Flint. He also had worked at Rochester Gear, as a Screw Machine Operator and General Foreman, and National Twist Drill in Rochester, MI. Early is his career, Tom was a brick layer by trade. He played guitar in local bands; enjoyed making hand crafted furniture, hand-made long-bows; and loved to fish.

Tom is survived by his wife of 46 years, JoAnn Crimm of Imlay City; daughter, Denise Delannoy of Shelby Twp., MI; sons, Tracy (Lisa) Kaake of Attica, MI and Greg Crimm; brother, Edison “Ed” Crimm of Dryden, MI. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Christopher (Dalaney) Delannoy, Amanda (Matt) Cookson, Philip (Tara) Delannoy, Ronnie Kaake, Christi Kaake, and Aaron Kaake. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Estelle Crimm.

The funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Burial will follow in Imlay Township Cemetery.

The family will be available for visitation 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, January 24 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
