CAPAC — Capac absorbed a 47-31 loss to visiting Brown City in a Greater Thumb Conference varsity boys’ basketball battle last Friday night.
In Friday’s Snowcoming clash, Capac spotted Brown City a 15-8 advantage after one quarter was complete.
The next quarter saw Capac bounce back with an 8-0 edge, going ahead 16-15 at the halftime break.
When the action resumed, Brown City struck with an 18-11 third quarter advantage. That enabled them to forge a 33-27 lead with 24 minutes gone.
Brown City then outscored Capac 14-4 the rest of the way, finishing off a 47-31 victory.
Nolan Maday (13, including a pair of trifectas) supplied the top Capac point total. The Chiefs also had Wiley Roose (five points, featuring a trey), Wyatt Hurley and Carlos Uribe-Arce (four apiece), Joe Dalessandro (three) and Brody Tesnow (two) reach the scoring column.
