ALMONT — Almont edged host North Branch, 48-46, in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball battle on Tuesday, January 9.

With the outcome, Almont moves to 7-3 and 2-1.

In Tuesday’s battle, North Branch grabbed an 11-10 edge after one quarter was complete.

The middle two quarters saw North Branch hit for 27 total points and Almont manage 26. That made it 38-36, North Branch, with 24 minutes elapsed.

Almont then outscored North Branch 12-8 from that point on, pulling out a 48-46 victory.

Jason Lane (15 points, including a pair of trifectas) and Chase Davedowski (11, featuring three treys) proved Almont’s top offensive threats. They were backed by Marko Radisavljevic (seven points, with a triple), Isaiah Bankston (six), Manny Goldstein (four, including a trifecta), Owen Rayl (a trey) and Cam Bourdeau (two).
