CAPAC — Memphis pulled out a 21-19 victory over host Capac in a Greater Thumb Conference varsity girls’ basketball battle last Thursday night.

In Thursday’s battle, Capac grabbed a 9-7 edge after one quarter was over with.

Quarter two saw Capac collect eight points and Memphis generate six, good for a 17-13 advantage at the halftime break.

When the action resumed, Memphis bounced back with a 6-0 third quarter edge. That staked them to a 19-17 lead with 24 minutes elapsed.

Quarter four saw Memphis net two points and Capac manage one, leaving the former with a 21-19 victory at night’s end.

Chloe Schocke (nine points, including three trifectas) and Madelynn Dudley (eight, featuring a pair of treys) proved Capac’s top offensive threats. They were backed by Charlotte Mandeville (two).
