Dryden’s Jaylin Taylor looks to loft a shot over the arms of a Kingston foe in last week’s game.

DRYDEN — Dryden downed visiting Kingston, 61-50, in a North Central Thumb League varsity boys’ basketball contest on Tuesday, January 9.

With the result, Dryden improves to 8-1 and 2-0. Kingston falls to 4-5 and 1-1.

In Tuesday’s contest, Dryden spotted Kingston a 12-9 edge after one quarter had ended.

The next two quarters saw Dryden amass 32 total points and Kingston hit for 23. That made it 41-35, Dryden, with 24 minutes elapsed.

Dryden then outscored Kingston 20-15 the rest of the way, good for a 61-50 triumph at night’s end.

For Dryden, Jacob Burgess led the way with 25 points. He was backed by David Insley (11 points), Gianni Coscione (nine), Jaylin Taylor (eight), Sonny Coscione (six) and Gabe Haick (two).
