CAPAC — The Capac varsity boys’ basketball team fell by a 60-55 count to visiting Harbor Beach in a Greater Thumb Conference confrontation last Wednesday night.

In Wednesday’s confrontation, Capac spotted Harbor Beach a 12-11 edge after one quarter was complete.

Quarter two saw Harbor Beach generate 19 points and Capac manage 16, good for a 31-27 halftime lead.

When the action resumed, Harbor Beach struck with 10-9 third quarter edge. That allowed them to go up 41-36 with 24 minutes gone.

Both sides then hit for 19 points during quarter number four, giving Harbor Beach a 60-55 win at night’s end.

Carlos Uribe-Arce (17, including three trifectas), Nolan Maday (15, featuring a pair of treys) and Wyatt Hurley (11) provided the top Capac point totals. They were backed by Brody Tesnow and Alan Uribe-Arce (four points each) along with Joe Dalessandro and Wiley Roose (two apiece).
