Diane Marie Haskin, 78, of Mussey Township, passed away on December 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 19, 1945, to the late Michael and Margaret (Puskar) Gura.

Diane married the love of her life, Eugene Haskin, on October 19, 1963, in East Detroit, and they spent 60 beautiful years together.

Diane was a devout member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett. She was a dedicated member of the church community and worked on the luncheon committee, where she lovingly made three apple pies for every funeral service that came through OLMC, where she was a Daughter of Isabella. Diane also volunteered her time with the rummage sale, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Diane and Eugene were active members at the Allenton Senior Center, where they formed many lasting friendships.

Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Eugene Haskin; her sons, Robert of Imlay City and Gary and Jeanine of Chesterfield; six grandchildren, Kenny, Vincent (Breanna), Olivia (Joshua), Ian, Connor, and Cooper; and her two brothers, Ronald and Robert.

Diane is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Margaret Gura.

A visitation for Diane will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation prior, beginning at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett. Fr. Tom Kuehnemund, pastor, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wishes of the Family or Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett.

Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her dedication to her church community, and her love for her family. She has left a lasting impact on all those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace.
