Imlay City’s Conner Wildie looks to complete a fall in a match last week.

IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City wrestling team went 4-1 en route to a first-place finish last Saturday at the Millington Tournament.

Their title-producing path began with a 42-36 win against Ithaca. That was followed by a 59-24 victory over Warren Fitzgerald; and a 43-34 loss to Corunna.

Those outcomes landed Imlay City a spot in the semifinal round where it registered a 37-36 triumph against Cros-Lex.

Imlay City then met Ithaca next in the title match. When the final scores were added up, Imlay City had prevailed 42-33.

Tanner Land (120), Christopher Galiana (126), Daniel Rojas (132), Conner Wildie (138) and Dominic D’Ambrosio (144) led Imlay City with 5-0 marks.

Brady Czapiewski (157) put together a 4-1 mark for Imlay City that day.

Caleb McLain (106) and Travis Dupont (150) added 3-2 marks to Imlay City’s cause.
