Dryden’s Gianni Coscione looks to finish off a fastbreak in Friday’s home game.

DRYDEN — Dryden escaped with a 45-44 win against visiting Webberville in a non-league varsity boys’ basketball meeting last Friday night.

With the result, Dryden goes to 3-1 this season. Webberville slips to 4-4 this season.

In Friday’s meeting, Dryden spotted Webberville an 11-10 edge after one quarter was done.

The middle two quarters saw Dryden manage 21 total points and Webberville hit for 20, making it a 31-31 contest with 24 minutes gone.

Dryden then outscored Webberville 14-13 from that point on, pulling out a 45-44 victory.

Jacob Burgess collected 16 points and Sonny Coscione supplied 14 to lead Dryden. The Cardinals also had Gianni Coscione (10 points), Luke Taylor (three) plus Josh Harris and David Insley (two each) reach the scoring column.
