SYNOPSIS
President Schneider called the Regular Meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Councilmembers present were Dyke, Feldman, Glasser, Kuligowski, Powell and Schneider. Councilmember Steffler was absent. Staff members present were Village Manager David Trent and Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Kapron.
Approved the agenda; approved the consent agenda with corrections; approved to adopt Emergency Ordinance No. 2023-1; approved the purchase of the EQ Valve Replacement at a projected cost of $3,045, with labor and installation cost to be approved at a later date; approved the purchase of the Sludge Pump Replacement at a projected cost of $17,375.00 , with labor and installation cost to be approved at a later date; approved the purchase of the Sludge Holding Tank Re-lining at a projected cost of $49,500, with labor and installation cost to be approved at a later date; consensus of Council to permit food trucks in the C1 district, decibel levels not to exceed 70 and to hold another first reading at the next meeting with the proposed changes; approved to enter into closed session in accordance with Sections 8e and 8h of the Michigan Open Meetings Act, being Public Act 267 of 1976, to discuss Manager Evaluation, Litigation Update and Labor Contract Negotiations; approved to authorize Manager Trent to commit a settlement negotiation with the Village insurance carrier; approved to authorize Manager Trent to enter into negotiations with Operating Engineers Union to negotiate a stipend of $500 instead of the $1000 proposed.
