Philip W. Orlowski, age 65, of Imlay City, Michigan, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital of Lapeer, MI. Philip William Orlowski was born April 29, 1958. He is the son of the late Edward and the late Rita (Pietrzkiewicz) Orlowski. Philip grew up in Warren and Roseville, MI. He attended Warren High School. Philip moved to the Imlay City area in the mid 1980s. He married Sarah Rose on May 18, 2013, in Miami, FL.

He was employed as a Rural Route Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service for 20 years before retiring in 2018. Prior to working at the Imlay City Post Office, Philip was employed by Buick City in Flint, MI for 15 years. Philip was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ray, MI and a member of the Holy Name Society. He was one of the original altar servers for St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Armada, MI. He was always helping people–neighbors, friends, who ever needed the help. Philip seemed to know everyone.

Philip is survived by his wife, Sarah Orlowski of Imlay City, MI; sister, Theresa Orlowski of Imlay City, MI; his brothers, Gary (Julie) Orlowski of Waterford, MI, James Orlowski of Burton, MI and Steve Orlowski of Imlay City, MI. Also surviving are his two nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rita Orlowski; and his sister, Christine Solomon.

A High Requiem Mass of the Christian Burial was held Saturday, December 2, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 57575 Romeo Plank Rd., Ray Township, MI. Fr. William Kimball of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, officiated. Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Imlay City.

A rosary was recited at Muir Brothers Funeral Home Friday evening.
