Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing before the Almont Township Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Almont Township Hall, 819 N. Main Street, Almont, MI 48003, beginning at 7 p.m.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider a variance request from Kyle Kraft (44-001-030-008-26) 5095 Whitney Erin Court, from Almont Township Zoning Ord. 39, Article 2, Sections 2.3 & 2.14.B – detached accessory building shall not be erected in any required or non-required front yard and road frontage on two streets a front yard setback shall be maintained on each road in accordance with minimum front yard setback requirements established by the zoning district in which the lot is located. Granting the variance would allow the property owner whose property has two street frontages to erect an accessory building. The property in question is currently zoned Agricultural/Residential (Ag/R). All documents pertaining to said variances will be available for inspection at the Township Office during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be available at the time and place of the meeting. All interested citizens will be given an opportunity to comment on this application. Written comments may be submitted up to the time of the meeting at the Township Hall.
