Denise Ann (Spano) Kalski, 58, of Dryden, MI was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 17, 2023. She was born April 1, 1965, to Leonard and Angela Spano. Denise grew up in Almont and graduated from Almont High School Class of 1983. She spent most of her life in Tuscola and Lapeer counties. She had an appreciation of nature and loved to take walks on beaches and trails around the state. Denise was especially fond of lighthouses and planned to visit as many lighthouses as possible throughout Michigan before she passed. She also enjoyed browsing antique stores, baking for her family and the simple things in life. One of her favorite lyrics is from the song ‘What You Give’ by the band Tesla. “It’s not what you got; it’s what you give/It’s not the life you choose; it’s the life you live”. More than anything, she loved her family.

She is survived by husband, Robert; children Kristen Keller of Oak Park and Kyle Keller of Gainesville, FL; mother Angela Spano of Marlette; siblings Mike (Louise) Spano of Gould City, MI; David A. Spano of Almont; and Diana (Todd) Schick of Clarkston; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family who loved and cared for her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Spano; nephew, David M. Spano; and sister-in-law, Rhonda Spano.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 2510 Juhl Rd, Marlette.
