BOARD MEETING SYNOPSIS
October 9, 2023
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Supervisor Winn. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Members present: Parks, Klos, Winn, Christian & Wittstock. October minutes approved. Treasurer’s report approved. Fire report: 15 runs last month, open house went well, engine pump test and air pack pressure fit test went well, they are in need of door repairs and weatherstripping and some tools and supplies – all of which were approved. Planning Commission: one split approved and two splits tabled; Rock Solid Landscape site plan approved with conditions. Senior report: regular activities attended and upcoming: Potluck on 12/5 is catered lunch ($8 must be in by 11/22) and exercise is every Monday at 11 a.m. and cards is every Tuesday at noon. Park report: Halloween party went well. Discussed: culvert approved for Almont Road, internet will be shared between township buildings, generator maintenance will be done, road assistance proposal was approved, County will go “digital” with maps and Berlin will participate, ARPA funds will be distributed once approval is given and Berlin Township is still looking for an Ordinance Officer (if interested, contact township office). Audience: local road issues mentioned.
