Jerry Weyer, age 71, of Brown City, Michigan died Monday, November 6, 2023, at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital after a short illness. Jerry Ralph Weyer was born February 8, 1952, in Almont, MI. He is the son of the late Ralph and the late Maxine (Muma) Weyer. He grew up in Almont. Jerry was a graduate of Almont High School, Class of 1970. He married Eula Mae White on October 3, 1981, in Brown City, Michigan. They moved from Almont to Brown City in 1996. Eula died on October 20, 2019.
He was employed by Ligon Brothers Manufacturing in Almont as a custodian for about 20 years. In his spare time, Jerry loved to farm; on his farm and on his neighbor’s farms. He also loved mowing his lawn on his Hustler Zero-Turn lawn mower; and did we mention, he loved all aspects of farming.
Jerry is survived by daughters, Penny (R.J.) Ellis of Ekron, KY and Mary Odhiambo of New Braunfels, TX; sons, Clinton (Karen) Morris of Brown City, MI and Robert (Suzy) Morris of Columbia, TN; one sister, Charyl (John) Young of WI; grandchildren, Thomas Nels, Alan Smith, Brittney Cargill, Dustin Morris, Matthew Smith, Brianna Grant, Jesse Morris, Katelynn Mitchell, Aaron Mitchell, and Austin Ellis; and his great grandchildren, Erika, Raven, Callaway, Tuff, Rieanna, and Avery.
The funeral services were held Friday, November 10, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church of Brown City, 6910 Cade Road, Brown City, MI. Pastor Paul Gaymon officiated. Graveside services followed at Burnside Township Cemetery, Brown City, MI.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
