Brenda Nagy, age 77, formerly of Lakeville, MI, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in Capac, MI. Brenda Kay Clark was born July 12, 1946, in Yale, MI. She is the daughter of the late Keith and the late Lovinia “Binnie” Clark. Brenda grew up in Imlay City and was a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1964. She married Thomas Nagy on August 29, 1981, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Brenda lived in the Lakeville area for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, on July 7, 2010.
She was employed by the United States Postal Service for 25 years working in the Pontiac, Lake Orion, and Romeo branches before retiring from the Oxford Post Office. She was a firefighter for Addison Township. Brenda enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, and doing word searches and crossword puzzles.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Danyeil (Jim) Smith of Capac, MI; son, Randall (Kalinda) Lewis of Clarkston, MI; and sister, Cindy (Matt) Tomaschko of North Branch, MI. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anthony Lewis and Charles Shabdue; great grandchildren, Berlynn Shabdue and Kai Lewis; and former husband, Gary Lewis of Carsonville, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Binnie Clark; sister, Paulette Clark Baker; her brother, Larry (Connie) Clark; and her husband, Thomas Nagy.
A memorial service for Brenda will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Wes Davis from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Imlay City will be officiating. The family will be available for visitation 10-12 noon, Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City. A burial of cremated remains will take place in Lakeville Cemetery at a later time.
