Almont’s Jesse Kautz tied for ninth at the Div. 4 golf state finals.
ALMONT — Almont’s Jesse Kautz posted a 174 output over 36 holes, sharing ninth place with Clinton’s Kyleigh Ramos at the Division 4 state finals this past week.
Bedford Valley Golf Course, in Battle Creek, is where the action unfolded.
Kautz, a senior, began her successful tournament run Friday with a 90 over 18 holes. She then followed it up Saturday with an 84, giving her a two-day total of 174.
Mia Melendez, of Ann Arbor Greenhills, took medalist honors. She wound up with a 148 output over 36 holes.
