Robert Anton Friedsberg, 90, of Mussey Township, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township.

He was born May 3, 1933, in Attica, the son of the late Anton and Rachel (Christiansen) Friedsberg.

He was married to Doris Violet Leonard, the mother of his children. Doris passed away July 1, 2016. Robert married Nancy Kegler on May 4, 1985, in Capac. They spent 30 beautiful years together before her passing on December 26, 2015.

Robert worked for National Twist Drill, Rochester, for 25 years. He then worked for General Motors as a machine repairman for 17 years until his retirement in 1992. Robert was a member of the Capac Masonic Forest Lodge #126. He enjoyed playing cards at the Capac and Yale Senior Center, pheasant hunting and puttering around on his farm. More than anything Robert loved his family.

Surviving are six sons, Bob (Char) of Mussey Township, Bill (Annie) of Richmond, Tom (Nancy) of Riley Center, Rod (Lori) of Yale, Randy (Debbie) of Imlay City, and Dan of Niceville, FL; stepchildren, Denise (Larry) McLaren of Richmond, Dianne Pfalz of Roseville, and Dave (Merri) Kegler of Mussey Township; 25 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; stepdaughter-in-law, Kathy Kegler, as well as nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Dennis Kegler; four sisters and two brothers.

A celebration of life luncheon will take place at Bells Event Center, Almont, on Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac.
