Lewis W. Hill, age 18, of Imlay City, MI died in 1950 in Taejon, South Korea. Lewis Hill was born September 2, 1931. He is the son of the late Arthur and the late Clara (Peck) Hill. Lewis grew up in the Lapeer and Imlay City, MI area.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of L Company, 3rd Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division and went missing in action in the vicinity of Taejon, South Korea July 20, 1950.
Lewis is survived by: his nieces, Margery Hall, Karen Taylor, Suprema Simmons, Sara Grant, and Sharon Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Clara Hill; brothers, Leon Hill, Arthur Hill, Jr. and Herman Hill; his sister, Shirley (Milo) Lake; and several nephews.
Interment will take place 2 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Imlay Township Cemetery.
