ALMONT — Almont turned back Armada, 4-0, in a Division 3 boys’ district soccer semifinal encounter hosted by Richmond High School Monday afternoon.
With the result, Almont (15-1-1) moves on to a Wednesday, October 18 district championship match against Imlay City (15-4-1. The contest is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Pjeter Lucaj (via a penalty kick), Bashkim Sinashtaj (set up by Lucaj) and Lucaj (assisted by Gabriel Nuculovic) provided Almont’s goals that day.
Almont also took advantage of an own goal by Armada, contributing to their four-goal total.
Bain Abitheira was the winning Almont goalkeeper. He made five saves.
