BOARD MEETING SYNOPSIS
October 9, 2023
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Supervisor Winn. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Members present: Parks, Klos, Winn & Christian. Wittstock was absent. September minutes approved. Treasurer’s report approved. Fire report: 11 runs last month, Open House 10/22 from 11a.m.-3p.m. (several guest emergency vehicles and food/beverages), hired Daniel Leighty and Steven Owens, promoted Samuel Russell (Captain), Thomas Cackowski (Lieutenant/Fire Inspector), Joshua Smith (Sergeant) and Thomas Marcath (Sergeant) and weekend stand-by pay raised to $200/weekend. Planning Commission: one split approved and one split must go to Zoning Board of Appeals. Senior report: regular activities attended and upcoming: Potluck 10/24 and Bingo on 10/16 (noon). Park report: Farmers Market is on Wednesdays with no charge to come and set up to sell your approved items and Halloween Party will be 10/15 (1-4p.m.). Discussed: culvert approved for replacement on Almont Road between Wheeler and Sperry and Park millage for next year will be $16,749. Audience: thank-you to neighbor, Matt, for boarding up the depot and a question about Fire Department answered.
