TRI-CITY AREA — The Almont and Imlay City boys’ tennis teams place third and fifth, respectively last Friday at the Blue Water Area Conference Tournament in Armada.
The host team won the tournament with 45 points. They were followed by Yale (41 points), Almont (32), Cros-Lex (22), Imlay City (21) and Richmond (five). Jerry Schurig (second singles) and Mark Schlanderer (third singles) led Almont with seconds.
Almont also received thirds from Owen Viaene (first singles), Will Kasper (fourth singles), Hunter Vallus and Cooper Schapman (first doubles) along with Ethan Stacer and Eric Brown (third doubles).
Imlay City did not have any placewinners that day.
