
Imlay City’s Charlotte O’Brien picks up the pace.
TRI-CITY AREA — The Imlay City and Almont girls’ cross country squads took third and seventh, respectively, at a Blue Water Area Conference Jamboree Meet on Tuesday, September 26.
Cros-Lex (30 points) won the team title. They were followed by Armada (36 points), Imlay City (109), Dryden (124), Yale (137), North Branch (148) Almont (151) and Algonac (175).
Charlotte O’Brien, ninth, 22:01.6; paced Imlay City. The Spartans also counted results from Laela Bhatti, 21st, 23:09.71; Lauryn Donahue, 22nd, 23:25.95; Kendal Donahue, 29th, 24:09.08; and Alice Johnson, 30th 24:12.98.
Laila Evola, 18th, 22:24.28; led Almont. She was backed by Ayla DeLaurier, 19th, 22:44.28; Amanda Fitchett, 35th, 24:45.26; Savanna Siewert, 41st, 25:12.43; and Montserrat Coronel, 47th, 25:55.2.
