Gerald “Jerry” Hill, age 89, of Lapeer, Michigan died Sunday, October 1, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Gerald Alton Hill was born February 1, 1934 in Imlay City, MI. He is the son of the late William and the late Laverna (Pringle) Hill. Jerry grew up in Imlay City. He attended Imlay City Community Schools. Through the years Jerry had married, Norma Smith, Joan Gillette, and Linda Bruce. His wives preceded him in death.
He was employed in Die Cast and Production Set-up by General Motors – AC Spark Plug in Flint, MI for 25 years before retiring. Jerry played guitar and sang in the Golden Rockets Band, playing at events and at weddings. He enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, playing music, jamboree sessions, and antiquing. Most of all, he enjoyed his grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by: his daughters, Alonda MacDonald of Lapeer, MI, Dianna (Ken) Pollard of Clifford, MI, Sally (Bob) Feierabend of Lapeer, MI, Kim (Kenneth) Kralowski of Shelby Twp., MI, Dawn (Leo) Kratz of Indiana and Debbie (Ken) Morse of Grand Blanc, MI; sons, Chuck (Yolanda) Nelson of Clio, MI, Brian (Jani) Nelson of Kingston, MI, Dan (Ann) Hill of Lapeer, MI, Tim (Shelli) Lorrison of Columbiaville, MI and John (Adele) Lorrison of Akron, MI; and several grand-children and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his wives, Norma Hill, Joan Hill and Linda Hill; parents, William & Laverna Hill; his son, Gary Hill; daughters, Pamela Hill and Linda Riddell; his brothers, Wesley Hill and William Hill; and sister, Juanita Parks.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am, Friday, October 6, 2023 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Randy Williams with Center for Discipleship, will officiate. Interment will follow in Arcadia Township Cemetery. The family will be available for visitation 2-5 & 6-8 pm, Thursday, October 5, 2023 and 10-11 am, Friday, October 6th at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
