Even when young, with an older sister and many more brothers and sisters to come Richard always wanted to bring the fun to any situation. His whimsical charm carried thoughout his life. If he could find a way to make you laugh, he would find it. He had nicknames for all his brothers and sisters. Some where pretty funny and made you ask him what does that mean? He would just laugh.

He was a dedicated father and provider for his family. At a young age he starting working with his father at Capac Construction and then R.B. Wyss & Sons Construction until 1980. In 1985 he joined The Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union where he retired after 37 Years.

Throughout his career as a Master Mason Richard has left his craftmanship of excellence for many families and businesses to enjoy, like the Comerica Park. Ground breaking for the $300 million dollar project took place on October 29, 1997. Mike Illitch played a direct roll in designing the facility. Richard was very proud to be able to be a part of the construction of this historical site. Being able to share this with his brothers Thomas A. Wyss and A.J. Wyss was the icing on the cake.

Love you Dad, Grandpa, Brother, family and friends!
