TRI-CITY AREA — Imlay City edged visiting Almont, 4-3, in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ soccer battle last Wednesday.
With the decision, Imlay City moves to 8-4-1 and 7-0-1. Almont slips to 6-1-1 and 9-1-2.
Dilan Garcia (set up by Sebastian Salcedo), Xavier Galeana (assisted by Nery Vega), Diego DeLuca (set up by Salcedo) and Xavier Galeana (assisted by Christopher Madrid) collected Imlay City’s goals.
Omar Lopez (four saves) and Max Galeana (three) shared the goalkeeping responsibilities for the winning Imlay City side.
Tyler Brown (set up by Bashkim Sinishtaj), Stojan Tasevski (assisted by Sean O’Neil) and Tasevski (set up by O’Neil) provided Almont’s goals.
Bain Abitheira went the distance in net for Almont. He finished with 14 saves.
