TRI-CITY AREA — Almont earned a 7-1 win against host Imlay City in a Blue Water Area Conference boys’ tennis encounter on Tuesday, September 19.
In individual action, Owen Viane obtained a 6-4, 6-4 top flight victory over Zach Edson; Jerry Schurig registered a 6-1, 6-1 triumph against Isaac Sommer at second singles; Mark Schlanderer notched a 6-1, 6-1 third flight win over Sam Edson; and Will Kasper collected a 6-2, 7-5 victory against Levi Lengemann at fourth singles.
As far as doubles play was concerned, Hunter Vallus and Cooper Schapman claimed a 5-7, 6-3, 6-0 top flight win against Zander Nash and Brady Detwiler; William McSpadin and Austin Machiniak fell 2-6, 3-6 to Robert Blevins and Joseph Gass at second doubles; Ethan Stacer and Eric Brown picked up a 6-1, 6-0 third flight victory over Caleb McLain and Carsan Milovich; plus Brayden McKinney and Luke Pape prevailed by default at fourth doubles.
