Imlay City’s Laela Bhatti (#2478) and Charlotte O’Brien (#2479) along with Almont’s Laila Evola (#2432) and Ayla DeLaurier (#2431) compete at a BWAC meet in North Branch last week.

TRI-CITY AREA — The Imlay City and Almont girls’ cross country squads took fourth and seventh, respectively, at a Blue Water Area Conference Jamboree Meet hosted by North Branch on Tuesday, September 12.

Cros-Lex won the meet with 28 points. They were followed by Armada (42 points), Richmond (111), Imlay City (114), Yale (139), North Branch (147), Almont (160) and Algonac (190).

Charlotte O’Brien, ninth, 21:51.63; led Imlay City that day. She was backed by Laela Bhatti, 16th, 22:53.58; Lauryn Donahue, 30th, 24:19.03; Alice Johnson, 36th, 24:28.3; and Lucia Calleja, 24:26.76.

Ayla DeLaurier, 12th, 22:45.47; notched the quickest Almont clocking. The Raiders also counted results from Laila Evola, 27th, 23:45.05; Amanda Fitchett, 42nd, 24:55.45; Savanna Siewert, 44th, 25:10.81; and Monserrat Coronel, 49th, 25:44.08.
