CAPAC — The Capac varsity volleyball team went 2-2 last Saturday at the SC4 Showcase in Port Huron.
Capac began tournament action with a 25-7, 25-11 win against University High School. The outcome was followed by a 25-17, 25-23 victory over Cardinal Mooney and a 8-25, 13-25 setback to Port Huron Northern.
Those results left Capac second at the completion of pool play.
Capac then bowed out with a 23-25, 18-25 bracket play loss to Harbor Beach,
Annabelle Schneider (42), Neveah Mason (24), Skielar Tesnow (17), Bella Wetter (15) Alley Block (12), Karina Ramirez (five), Cierra Helzer and Madalyn Roberson (four each), Christina Howard (three), Chloe Schocke and Lily Uribe (two apiece) along with Nolynn Allen (one) furnished Capac’s digs.
Roberson (nine), Tesnow (seven), Block (three), Mason (two), Schneider, Allen and Uribe (one each) provided Capac’s ace serves.
Block handled the bulk of Capac’s playmaking responsibilities. She contributed 29 set assists.
Roberson (17), Uribe (10), Block (nine), Schocke and Allen (three apiece), plus Schneider and Ramirez (one each) added Capac’s kills.
