TRI-CITY AREA — The Almont girls’ golf team took first place last Thursday at a Blue Water Area Conference match at the Hamptons Golf Course in Rochester.
Almont’s winning total was 185. They were followed by Richmond (207), Armada and Yale (209 each), Imlay City (223), Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest (229) and North Branch (238).
Jesse Kautz led Almont with a co-medalist round of 42. The Raiders also counted 46’s from Rachael Johnson and Nora Sinistaj as well as Eva Rayl’s 51.
For Imlay City, Alexa Lengemann was low with a 43. The Spartans also counted Lakynn Alessandrini’s 52, Summer Belleville’s 62 and Payton Day’s 66.
